手力雄神社の例祭で毎年4月第2土曜日に行われています。
この祭りの起源は不明ですが300年以上の歴史を持ち、岐阜県重要無形民俗文化財に指定されています。
降り注ぐ火の粉の中、火薬を仕込んだ神輿を担ぐ上半身裸の男達。神輿の火薬に火がつくと神輿からも火の粉が吹き上がり迫力満点です。
また、毎年祭りにあわせて参道の鳥居にかけられる長さが約12.5m、最大直径3m、重さ約1トンという大しめ縄も見物です。

Held annually on the second Saturday of April at the Tejikarao Shrine.
The origin is unknown, but has a history of over 300 years, and is registered as Gifu's Im-portant Intangible Folk Cultural Asset.
Half naked men carry the Mikoshi setup with gunpowder, while sparks rain on them. When the sparks hit the gunpowder set on the Mikoshi, it is truly a spectacular sightseeing sparks blow out form the Mikoshi.
The Oshimenawa, weighing in about 1 metric ton, with a length of 12.5 meters, and at the thickest point a diameter of 3 meters hanging form the Torii is truly a sight to behold every year at the festival.
