郷土の英雄「平将門公」の勇姿を現代によみがえらせよう昭和47年の旧岩井市市政施行を記念して始まったお祭りで、坂東市の秋を彩る風物詩。国王神社の境内を総勢100人の武者が「神田明神将門太鼓」の中進み、武者の参詣が行われる。その他、県の無形民俗文化財に指定されている「神田ばやし」や、地元中学生などによる弓道模範演武なども行われる。

To revive the brave figure and local hero, Tairano Kadomasa, in modern times, the Bando city's autumn traditional festival started in 1972 to celebrate the operation of municipal administration of Old Iwai City. Total of 100 warriors march on Kokuo Shrine ground in the Kandamyojin Masakado Drum performance to make a pilgrimage. The "Kanda bayashi" which is registered as a Significant Intangible Folk Cultural Asset by the prefecture, is also held. Archery demonstrations by local junior high school students and other events are hold.
