くろほね夏まつりわたらせ渓谷鐵道の水沼駅そばの黒保根運動公園で開催されています。
初日に八木節競演大会の予選が始まり、翌日に決勝大会が行われます。
マスのつかみ取り、ミニトレイン、などのイベントも開催され、花火大会も行われます。
近くの河川敷から約2,000発が打ち上げられ、迫力満点です。

There is a Yagibushi folk dance competition on the first day, with the finals on the second day. There is fish catching, a mini-train, and other events. As well as a fireworks display where over 2000 fireworks are launched from a nearby dry riverbed, which packs a punch.
