梵天祭は江戸時代頃（開始年代不詳）に始まった秋田県固有の特殊神事で、梵天（ぼんでん）と呼ばれる依代（よりしろ）を神社に奉納いたします。境内を激しくもみあいながら奉納する勇壮さが大きな特徴であり、その力強さから『けんか梵天』とも呼ばれています。

Bonden Festival dates back to the Edo period (starting year unknown), where it started in Akita to dedicate the Bonden, an object representative of a divine spirit, to the shrine. A characteristic of this festival is seen with participants running around and fighting within the shrine grounds, hence the festival is also known as the Fighting Bonden.
