白装束の数え42才厄年の男衆が百貫しめ縄をかつぎ、町の中を練り歩きます。 その後、参道を一気に駆け上がり、本殿裏にある樹齢500年の御神木「夫婦杉」に巻きつけて奉納し、厄払いと一年間の家内安全を祈ります。

Men dressed in white and carrying a shimenawa (sacred rope), each 42 years old, parade through the town. They then run up the approach to the main shrine and dedicate the rope by wrapping it around the 500-year-old sacred "husband and wife cedar tree" located behind the main shrine to pray for the exorcism of bad luck and for family safety throughout the year.
