「ケベス祭」は、櫛来社（岩倉八幡社）で、毎年１０月１４日に行われる秋の大祭です。
火の粉散らす天下の奇祭で、起源や由来は一切不明の火祭りで、面をつけて命を吹き込まれたケベスが火に入り、火のついたシダを持って境内を走り回ります。その火の粉を浴びると無病息災に過ごせるとされ、ご利益を得ようと大勢の人が集まります。

The Kebesu Festival is a fall grand festival held annually on October 14 at the Iwakurasha Shrine (Iwakurahachiman Shrine).
A worldly unusual festival where fire sparks fly all over, and is a fire festival where the ori-gins are unknown. The Kebesu which has had life put into it wears a mask and enters the fire, and runs around the grounds holding a fern that is lit with fire. If the fire sparks hit you, it is said to give you good luck with no illness or disaster. Many people participate to receive the good luck.
