長崎県の嵯峨島に伝わる念仏踊り「オーモンデー」
国の選択無形民俗文化財に選ばれており、鉦2人2組、踊り手10～12人の構成で、鉦と唱詩に合わせて輪型になって踊ります。毎年8月14日のお盆に、昼は各戸ごとを巡り、夜は墓所参りしてそれぞれ行なわれます。

Omonde is a Buddhist prayer dance performed on Saga-shima Island in Nagasaki Prefecture, and was selected as an Intangible Folk Cultural Property of Japan. Two people on two sets of gongs, and 10-12 people dance in a circle in rhythm to the gongs while they chant. This dance happens every year during Bon. During the day the dance is performed door to door, and at night it is performed at graves.
