護摩木を読経とともに燃やし、おき火の上を修験者が
素足で歩く火渡りは、毎年多くのカメラマンも訪れるほど
壮観です。煮えたぎる釜の中に笹を敷き、もうもうと湯気が
上がる中に座り込む湯立てや、その笹が振られて釜の中の
熱湯を浴びる湯浴びなど、どれも目を見張るような大荒行です。

It is a brilliant view and even many cameramen visit to see the sight where Gomagi is burned while chanting a sutra then trained priests walk on the fire with bare feet.
There are other eye-opening severe asceticisms such as "Yutate" that priests sit on bam-boo grass in a pot with steaming hot water, "Yuabi" that priests shake the bamboo grass to sprinkle the hot water, and more.
