當麻寺春の大祭で、中将姫の現身往生を再現する行事。観音菩薩、勢至菩薩ら二十五菩薩が、現世に里帰りした中将姫を迎えて、極楽へ導くという儀式です。
１０００年を越える伝統を持つこの行事は、もちろん我が国の「練供養（ねりくよう）」の発祥で、境内は、数多くの参詣者で埋め尽くされます。

It is a spring grand festival at Taima Temple to revive Princess Chujo becoming a Buddha in her life. It is a ceremony that Twenty-five bodhisattvas including Guanyin and Mahasthamaprapta welcoming and leading Princess Chujo who were returning to parents' home to paradise.
This event has a history of over 1,000 years and of course the birthplace of our country's "nerikuyo", the temple ground is filled with many worshipers.
