祭は参詣者にワカメの味噌汁をかけるというユニークなもの。厄除けを願う作法だが、近年はさすがに味噌汁はかけられず、ふるまわれている。正午には藁で作られた14メートルほどの蛇綱(じゃづな)が、笛や太鼓に先導されて神社を出発する。蛇綱は迷路のような地区内を引き回され、各戸の邪気を払って廻る。綱の主な引き手は子供たち。

The festival is unique because they splash a miso soup with seaweed to worshipers. It is a manner to wish for warding off evil but in recent years miso soups are not splashed after all but served.
At noon 14 m Jazuna (a snake rope) made by straws leave the shrine led by flutes and drums. Jazuna is taken around the labyrinthine district to drive evil spirits away from each houses.
Children pull the rope mainly.
