400年以上の歴史を持ち、愛知県の有形民族資料文化財に指定されているお祭り。
永禄年間に、田畑や人畜に危害を加えていた海魔を鎮めるためかがり火を焚いて祈願したことがその起源とされています。
祭中、神社の境内には全長最大10メートルもの巨大な提灯が掲げられ訪れた人を魅了します。

It has a history of over 400 years and is registered as a Tangible Local Cultural Materials Asset by Aichi prefecture.
It originates in praying and lighting bonfires to sink a demon in the ocean that was harming fields of rice and other crops, man and animals in Eiroku years.
During the festival, huge lanterns, the biggest one is total length of 10 m, are hung in the shrine grounds and charm visitors.
