曲亭馬琴の南総里見八犬伝を現代に再現したお祭。各地から募集した伏姫を始め八犬士が、鉄砲隊や槍隊、手づくり甲冑隊など、総勢約200名余が戦国武者行列として通りを練り歩いたり、特設会場では戦国合戦絵巻が行われる。その他、27基の山車・お船・屋台・神輿や出店などで賑わい、打ち上げ花火が祭りのフィナーレを飾る。

This festival is a re-enactment of Kyokutei Bakin' Satomi Hakkenden. Princess Fuse who was chosen from various places, Hakkenshi (eight warriors), firearms unit, spears unit, armor and helmet unit, and more total of over 200 warriors parade streets, and the battle scenes are revived at the special site. It is full of 27 floats, Ofune, stalls, Mikoshi, shops and more, and the fireworks conclude the festival.
