関東唯一の捕鯨発祥の地・鋸南町勝山で行われているイベント。祭当日は、勝山港通りが歩行者天国となり、内宿区鯨唄保存会による古くから歌い継がれている鯨唄の上演や大浜名主醍醐新兵衛にあやかった醍醐新兵衛の餅投げなどが催される。

Events are held in Katsuyama, Kyonan-machi that is the birthplace and only place in Kanto to catch whales. On the festival day, pedestrians are only allowed in Katsuyamako-dori, Uchijuku Ward Kujirauta Preservation Society sing Kujirauta (whale song) which has been inherited and some other events are held such as Daigo Shinbe Mochi Throwing event to be shared in the good luck of Ohama village headman Daigo Shinbe.
