開山の祖・慈雲妙意禅師をしのんで行われる厳かな法会です。全国から虚無僧50人余りが集い、尺八を吹きながら境内を歩く「塔参（とうさん）」が見ものです。深編み笠（がさ）をかぶり、黒い着物を着た虚無僧が僧侶たちを先導し、本堂から慈雲妙意禅師をまつる「開山堂」までを往復します。尺八の大合奏に全山が包まれます。深編み笠に黒い着物で尺八を吹きながら歩く光景はとても不思議です。

It is a solemn memorial service to remember a Zen priest Jiun Myoi who is the founder of the temple. Over 50 Komuso come together from all parts of nation, and the highlight is "Tosan" where they walk the temple grounds while playing Shakuhachi. Komuso in black clothing with a deep straw head-gear on their heads make a round trip and lead priests from the main shrine to "Kaizando" where Jiun Myoi is deified. All the mountains are filled with an ensemble of Shakuhachi. It is strange to see people walking in black clothing with a deep straw head-gears on their heads and playing Shakuhachi.
