伝統を守る高岡の素晴らしさを再認識できる高岡御車山祭。御車山は御所車に鉾を立てた特殊なものです。高岡町民の心意気と財力に支えられ、格式も高く、高岡の金工、漆工、染織等の優れた工芸技術の装飾が車輪や高欄、長押（なげし）等に施された日本でも屈指の華やかな山車（やま）です。

Takaoka Mikurumayama Festival is great to re-recognize the wonderfulness of Takaoka which preserve the tradition. Mikurumayama is special because it has Hoko standing on the court carriages. They are very brilliant floats in Japan with elegant Takaoka's craft skills of metal works, Japanese lacquer, dyeing are provided in decoration of wheels, balustrades, and beam supports, all supported by Takoaka people's spirit and money.
