謙信公祭は戦国の武将・上杉謙信公の武勇と遣徳をたたえて行われているお祭りです。
鎧兜に身を包み、槍刀を持った武者たちが繰り広げる勇壮な出陣行列や、こども武者行列、米沢藩砲術隊など見どころがたくさんです。また、川中島合戦の再現も演じられており、臨場感たっぷりで迫力満点です。
ほかにはない本格的な歴史イベントが魅力です。

The Kenshin Oyake-sai Festival is held in honor the Sengoku warlord Kenshin Uesugi’s bravery and virtue. The parade starts with brave warriors dressed in traditional Japanese armor, followed by more warriors with swords, children samurai procession, and the Yonezawa clan gunnery corps, which are an amazing sight to see.
