５つの神社にちなんだ５つの山車を、それぞれ揃いの法被を着た若い衆たちが勇壮に引っ張ります。山車の上には人形や館を飾り、上を大きな岩山と呼ばれる5枚の布で覆います。
鵜島の祭で特徴的なものに「キャラゲ」があります。小学校の男子が化粧をし、着物を着て曳山の前に乗り、曳山の誘導をします。

In association with the five shrines, there are 5 floats, each of which is carried around by the young and brave wearing the same Happi per group. Dolls and castles are decorated on the floats, and covered by 5 large cloths called Iwayama.
What's unique about the Ushima Festival is the Kyarage. Elementary aged boys wear makeup and kimono's and stand in the front of the floats to direct it.
