金津祭は毎年7月に行われる伝統行事です。祭りでは山車と子ども踊りが町内を練り歩きます。また、380年の伝統を持つ本陣飾り物も見どころです。本陣飾り物は江戸時代に参勤交代のお殿様を日用品で作った飾り物でもてなしたのが始まりの飾りで、18の区が趣向を懲らして作る本陣飾り物を訪ね歩きます。

The Kanazu Festival is a traditional event that happens every year in July. The festival has floats and children’s dances around the city, as well as the 380-year-old tradition of Honjin decorations, which is the lord made by daily products. Lord performed sankin-kotai (taking turns in attending on the Shogun at Edo), and this decoration is amazing to see.
