静岡県田方郡函南町軽井沢に伝わる「猫踊り」の民話をもとに１９８８年から始まったお祭り。猫メイクをして踊る「猫おどり」をメインに、猫音頭、子供シャギリ、猫じゃ2コンテスト、よさこい踊りなど多彩なイベントが繰り広げられます。

A festival which started in 1988 based on the folk story of the Cat Dance told in Kannami-cho, Karuizawa region, Tagata-gun, Shizuoka-ken. Various colorful events are held, with the Neko (cat) Dance being the main event, where they dance with cat makeup, the Cat Rhythm, Kodomo Shagiri, Neko Jya2 Contest, and the Yosakoi Dance.
