木製の巨大な男性のシンボルをかつぎ、 温泉街を練り歩くという信州の奇祭です。
若い女性がまたがることで、厄除け・縁結び・子宝を祈願するという意味があり、約50年の歴史を持つお祭りです。
宿泊客の女性は、希望すれば順番にその上に乗ることができます。

It is a strange festival in Shinshu region where a huge symbol of male made of wood is carried to parade throughout the hot spring area.
This festival has a history of 50 years and it means to pray for warding off evil, matchmak-ing, and blessing with children when young women straddle it.
Women staying at the hotels are able to ride on it if they wish.
