高浜七年祭は大飯郡高浜町宮崎にある佐伎治神社の式年大祭で、巳の年と亥の年を「まつり年」として６年おきに行われます。夏の盛りの旧暦六月に七日間にわたって行われ、「まつり年」を含めて七年目ごとに行われることから「七年祭」と呼ばれています。
祭りでは、３基の神輿が氏子区域を回り、太刀振・お田植・神楽・曳山などの芸能が行われます。
The Takahama 7 Years Festival is the Sakichi Shrine’s largest festival held in Oi-gun, Takahama Miyazaki. The festival is held every 6 years on the Year of the Snake and the Year of the Boar. There are portable mikoshi shrines from 3 local areas with sword performances, rice planting, instruments performance, and festival floats.
