知立神社の祭礼である「知立まつり」は、1年おきに本祭りと間祭りが5月2日、3日に行われます。
また国指定重要無形文化財であり、ユネスコ無形文化遺産に提案された山車文楽・山車からくりは、本祭りの際に山車の上で上演されます。

A festival of the Chiryu Shrine, also referred to as Chiryu Festival, held on May 2nd and 3rd, are separated into the main festival and mid festival, each held every other year.
It is also registered as a National Important Intangible Cultural Asset, and also the Dashibunraku and Dashikarakuri floats are proposed to be registered as Unesco Intangible Cultural Assets. The main festival is held with these floats.
