毎年、桜が咲き誇る春に開催しています。
まつり期間中は、上田市内の銘品をはじめ、地場産品等の観光物産展のほか、ステージイベントや体験型アトラクションなどがあります。
NHK大河ドラマ「真田丸」でも有名となった戦国時代の名将「真田昌幸」が築城した上田城で上田城千本桜まつりをご堪能ください。

Held annually in spring when the cherry blossoms are in bloom.
During the festival, exhibits of Ueda city's brand products, and local products and products for tourists are available. Stage events and hands-on attractions can also be enjoyed.
Enjoy the 1000 cherry blossom trees planted at Ueda Castle by Sanada Masayuki, a well-known commander of the civil war era, also known recently in the Sanadamaru NHK Drama series.
