「国の重要伝統的建造物群保存地区」にも選定されている奈良井宿の古い町並み約1kmにわたって、手作りのアイスキャンドルが2000個以上灯される風情のあるイベント。豚汁のサービスや振舞い酒などの温かいサービスもあり、地域の人々とのふれあいも楽しめる。1月下旬から2月中旬にかけて、中山道木曽11の宿場を氷の灯籠でつなぐ「木曽路　氷雪の灯祭り」の一つでもある。

Over 2000 handmade ice candles are lit up during this tasteful event on old streets of Na-raijuku which is chosen for National Important Preservation District of Historic Buildings. Worm services are supplied such as offering of pork soup and sake, and visitors can enjoy meeting with local people. It is also one of the "Kisoji Snow and Ice Lantern Festival" which connects 11 Nakasendo Kiso post towns by garden lanterns from the end of January to the middle of February.
