じゃんとこい魚津まつりの『じゃんとこい』は、せり込み蝶六で踊られるお囃子の合間に入るあいの手で、「たくさん来て下さい」という意味合いです。
大漁と海上の無事安全を祈る諏訪神社の豪快、勇壮な「たてもん」（大万燈）の曳き回しや日本海側最大の海上花火大会、独特の即興歌で踊る「せりこみ蝶六踊り」の街流し等が夏の夜を彩ります。
The “jantokoi” in Jantokoi Uozu Festival means “please come” as accompaniments draw you in to the festivities like the seri-komi choroku butterfly dances. Amazing tatemon (large lantern floats) are being pulled around the city; there is the largest fireworks on the Japan Sea; and dances such as the seri-komi choroku butterfly dance performed to improvised songs is one of the highlights of the festival.
