毎年１１月２日・３日に行われる本庄の代表的な祭「本庄まつり」彫り物や刺繍が見事に施された絢爛豪華な山車は関東随一と呼ばれ、市指定文化財となっている山車８基を含む計１０基の山車が街を練り歩く。

Honjo's typical Festival, "Honjo Festival", is held on November 2 and 3 every year. Splendid Dashi floats with intricate carvings and stunning embroidery is number one in Kanto, and 8 floats are registered as Designated Cultural Property by the city. A total of 10 floats parade through town.
