「火祭り」として知られ、御輿の渡御、神楽、火取りなどが行われます。このお祭りの起源は遠く天武朝までさかのぼるといわれています。生駒谷の氏子が上座と下座に分かれ、それぞれの御輿が先を争って勢いよく駆け抜けます。その後の「火取り」では、燃え盛る松明を担いだ２人の「火取り」が石段を駆け下りるはやさを競います。

Also known as the Fire Festival, where mikoshi carrying, sacred music and dances, and Hitori (torch race) is held. It is said that this festival dates back all the way to the Tenmu Dynasty period. The Ikoma Parishioners are divided into two groups, the Kamiza and Shimoza, racing each group’s mikoshi. Afterwards, the Hitori event is held where two participants carrying the torches run down the stone stairs competing for who the faster one is.
