御弓始祭は、境内の前庭で小笠原流による百手式が行われます。
新年を迎えるにあたり弓矢を射る事で、魔を払い悪除けで一年の健康と作物の豊饒を祈願します。

A moteshiki archery ritual in the Ogasawara Method is held at the front garden inside the grounds at the Oyumihajime Festival.
As the calendar changes to the New Year, the arrows are shot with a meaning for a prayer to warding off evil, good health, and good harvest.
