鶴谷八幡宮で毎年9月の敬老の日前の土・日に行われる。通称やわたんまち。国司祭の伝統を引き継ぎ1000年以上行われている祭で千葉県の無形民俗文化財に指定されている。　初日には安房国南部10社の神輿が入り、翌日に市内5町から山車・お船が出る。夕刻には10社の神輿の還御、及び八幡宮神輿の御浜出が催行される。

Festival is held on Saturday and Sunday in September before Respect-for-the-Aged Day at Tsurugaya Hachimangu. Also known as Yawatanmachi This festival started over 1000 years ago inheriting the festival held by provincial governor, and it is registered as Chiba's Intangible Folk Cultural Property. 　Mikoshi from 10 shrines in Southern Awanokuni on the first day, and Dashi floats and Ofune floats join in on the second day. 10 Mikoshi go back to their shrines in the evening and Hahata Hachimangu's Ohamade is performed.
